The 8-Question Success Blueprint
A simple strategy to earn more and optimize what you offer.
A while back, I was in one of those entrepreneur mastermind groups
with go-getters in gingham oxfords who say the word “crush” a lot and drain their trust funds developing SaaS solutions for problems that don’t require them.
I noticed one of my co-minds (probably not the right word?) struggling with a business relaunch. They torched hours and dollars on research, but still couldn’t decide what to build or who to target. Instead, they presented a yawning list of use cases and an infinite offer menu — so much data, so little insight.
I sat back for an hour while six carbon copies of this dude sank into the weeds, asking questions like, “What’s your why?”, “How can you cut OpEx?”, “What’s the TAM and potential five-year market penetration?” and “Have you A/B tested these?”
Now, there’s a perverse eroticism to watching cash-flush and genius-starved Stanford alums think themselves into a pretzel, but there’s a real eroticism to solving their problems in five minutes. So I chimed in toward the end with my trademark chill to set them straight. I asked eight softball questions. I didn’t wait for the answers; I didn’t need to. They thanked me later; they’re thriving now.
