I've had multiple interactions with all three of the men you've named in this essay–Acho and I have run in tangential circles since his UT days right up through work at my former employer, I've done work with Lathan's current employer and we have mutual friends, and I've ripped Whitlock in print and on Twitter back when writing sports was regular for me.

I can't speak to what you say (for super obvious reasons!), yet this really, really made me think.

(Although, candidly, I don't think it's a hot take to say Whitlock is a gasbag. Shame, too, his early KC Star features suggest he had incredible talent and the capacity for empathy.)
