I’ll be brief, and I want to thank you for your thoughtful and thought-provoking response. I mostly wanted to articulate that humans are deficient and unable or unwilling to grasp why they feel, think and behave the way they currently do — there’s too many layers, including so, so many I’ve yet to uncover. What I know, however, is we should all be incredibly afraid: of each other and what we are capable of when handicapped by our own deficits in understanding. Could be 2 years from now. Maybe 10. But in addition to the rapidly escalating trauma we have experienced already, this virus, infecting the world, will bring about a very scary reemergence of the full scope of our darkness, our thin veneer of civilization shattering. I don’t know what form it takes, I don’t know what comes next, but I know it’s ending. The way it did during WWII. Except with 2018 methods and our always-on 2018 awareness. Think of how easily we could inflict mass violence, panic and chaos on each other. Total darkness is coming. I just don’t know what it looks like, or how long it will last, or hold out any hope anymore that it can be prevented. I hope that helped provide additional shading. I know it’s murky, and I don’t have a full consistent picture yet.
