I loved this. Clear. Concise. Informative. Actionable. Great writing as per usual (I lurk and read many of your pieces.) I only semi-bristled at just one passage:

“The consensus is the top writers on Medium don’t truly write original content, but highly readable and emotionally engaging content. This content has virtually no evergreen value, no long-term value as content that can live on.”

Some of us strive for original, readable and emotional, and evergreen. I have several stories that have second, third, fourth and fifth lives via distribution and/or unexpected sharing from social influencers with substantial followings. =)
