Honestly — I don’t feel courageous when I write what I’m feeling, or confess my mistakes, or express my opinion, or document my life events. These are pieces of me, but I don’t feel like they belong to me. They’re just things that people can see, hold and do what they wish with. We all struggle. We all suffer. None of that belongs to any one person in particular. So if it’s something we share, then it stands to reason that we *should* share it in a way that brings people together (storytelling), and not in a way that pushes people away (venting / whining). And so that’s what I do.
